From Jai and Aditi in Jaane Tu.. Ya Jaane Na, to Geet and Aditya in Jab We Met, Bollywood has provided the most beautiful and ravishing stories that can make a broken heart believe in love all over again way too easily. Many of us wish to experience such kind of love in our lives while others idealise these Hindi film couples as the benchmarks of romance. What makes these Hindi film couples so popular among the audience is probably their relatability and relevance to them. Or perhaps we try to find comfort and security through their love stories in rather forsaken lives such as ours.

Check out how these Hindi film couples have won our hearts over and over again with their impactful chemistries:

Rimjhim and Suman

Actors Bhumi Pednekar and Chum Darang have proficiently played their respective roles as Suman and Rimjhim in the coming-of-age film Badhaai Do. While the film dwells mainly on the prejudiced nature of the society about same-sex marriages, the audience has loved watching Rimjhim and Suman and their relationship through the course of the film. Both the actors have helmed their roles quite inclusively and has created a sense of hope in the minds of the audience for more of such representations of the LGBTQ community in the Indian cinema. However, many social media users said that they would have liked it better if real-life lesbian actors were cast in the film.

Dimple and Vikram

Actors Kiara Ali Advani and Siddharth Malhotra have been lauded for their on-screen romance by the audience in 2021 film Shershaah. While the film mainly dwells on the brave Indian soldier Vikram Batra who served the country during the Kargil War, Advani's Dimple plays an equally important role in the film as his lover. The chemistry between the two has been praised for portraying the unconditional love Dimple had for Vikram as well as visualises how their love survives even the ravages of time and death of the military soldier.

Murad and Safeena

Talking about exceptional love stories, how can we miss Murad and Safeena of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy who portrayed the challenges of relationship in the most realistic way. Murad Ahmed (Ranveer Singh) and Safeena Firdausi (Alia Bhatt) present the real dilemmas of relationships in a very relatable manner. Both hail from contrasting backgrounds with different dreams, yet they never hold each other back from what they desire. What makes their relationship so special and speak to the audience is their unconditional support to each other's dreams. What the audience didn't like was Safeena's violent possessive behaviour when it came to loving Murad.
