Esha Deol Is Making A Comeback With Ek Duaa. Here's When You Can Start Streaming It

Ek Duaa release date: Actor Esha Deol Takhtani recently announced her upcoming film Ek Duaa. The trailer of the film launched on Monday, July 19. It is directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee.

What is Ek Duaa all about?

The movie speaks about the struggles of Abida (Esha Deol), who comes from a conservative family that is biased against women. She wants to amplify the voice and right to equal love for her daughter Duaa in such a family. The trailer revolves around Abida, who tries to makes efforts ends meet in her not so well-off household. Meanwhile, her husband, a cab driver tries hard to fulfil the financial needs of the family. Amidst all of this, Abida's mother-in-law yearns for a grandson as she believes that he would act as another earning member of the family. All Abida wants is to give Duaa the equality and love she deserves.

What does Esha Deol say about her comeback?

Talking about her comeback, Deol said in an interview, "I wanted to do a film that not just entertains but also informs and inspires change." She added, "When I heard the concept of Ek Duaa, it truly touched me, and more so as a mother of two girls. So, I decided to extend my association with it as a producer rather than just being an actor."

She further added that it is heartening to see how the number of women behind the scenes have increased not just in the count but in visibility too in the industry, and she is happy to join the bandwagon.

Ek Duaa will be releasing on Monday, July 26, 2021. Announcing the trailer release, Esha Deol wrote on her Instagram handle, "Our film "Ek Duaa" premiers on Monday 26th July 2021 on @vootselect. Do watch it and give us your love, good wishes, Duas & blessings. "

The actor revealed the movie's first look on Thursday, July 15 on her Instagram handle. "Un'veiling' the first look of our film 'Ek Duaa' under our banner Bharat Esha Films (BEF). Premiers 26th July 2021 on @vootselect!" she said.

The producers of the film are Deol Takhtani herself, her husband Bharat Takhtani, Venkys and Aritra Das.
