Drashti Dhami last appeared in the web series The Empire. She made her acting debut on television with her most notable performance in the Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka.
Dhami will perform as the cop Ira in a previously unseen role, and Gulshan will portray the fascinating Sammit Patel.
The series also prominently features Rajesh Khattar, Divya Sheth, Zakir Hussain, Barkha Bisht, Abhijit Khandkekar, and Hera Mishra, in addition to the main actors.
In Badhaai Do, Gulshan was last seen as a gay man. He was chosen to play Rajkummar Rao's love interest in the movie. In Blurr, he will next be seen with Taapsee Pannu. It is a suspenseful horror movie and the official Hindi adaptation of the Spanish film Julia's Eyes.
Gulshan said, "What interests me is how detached a certain character is from me. Yes, sometimes I play characters similar to who I am. But the more detached the character is, the more fun there is. While acting, you can be somebody you are not, and get away with it", when asked about how he chooses the role he plays.
When asked about working with her co-actor Gulshan, Drashti Dhami said, "It was nice; he, of course, is a fab actor and a very nice human being; he's very helping. There were times when I would be lost in my scenes he would help me. We would all sit and discuss the scene, we would all rehearse the scene, and he's a very, very helping co-actor and very funny. In the middle of a scene or if the lighting is happening, he would start singing; he would start entertaining everyone on sets, so yeah, the whole experience of the show has been a lot of fun. I've enjoyed the whole process."
