Demi Lovato Claims She Was Sexually Assaulted And Raped As A Teenager

In the documentary series Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil, Lovato claimed she was raped as a teenager and sexually assaulted by her drug dealer after her drug overdose.

In her documentary series Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil, Lovato stated that “I didn’t just overdose. I was taken advantage of.” Lovato added that “When they found me, I was naked, blue. I was literally left for dead after he took advantage of me.”

Lovato revealed that after she woke up in the hospital, “they asked if they had consensual sex.” She added that a month after the overdose she realised that she was not “in any state of mind to make a consensual decision.”

In the documentary series, Lovato also speaks about a previous sexual assault. She stated “I lost my virginity in a rape,” when she was a teenager. That time she was part of “that Disney crowd” that had publicly stated they were waiting until marriage. Lovato added that the person that assaulted her never got in trouble for it and that she “had to see this person all the time so I stopped eating and coped in other ways.” Speaking about the person that assaulted her, she added that “They never got taken out of the movie they were in.”

Lovato stated that “I always kept it quiet because I've always had something to say. I don't know, I'm tired of opening my mouth.”
