From Dating to Parenting: Journey Of Virushka

Virat met Anushka for the first time in 2013 on the sets of a television commercial shoot for a shampoo brand.

What started as a casual friendship blossomed into something more, with Virat visiting Anushka on her film sets and her supporting him at matches. Their first public appearance together was at the Vogue Beauty Awards in July 2015.

After a series of rumours and a brief social media fallout, Kohli defended Anushka from online bullying, and soon after, they were spotted together on a dinner date.

Though they never officially confirmed their relationship, Virat Kohli’s sweet Valentine’s Day Instagram post for Anushka in February 2017 made it Instagram official. Here's what he wrote, "Everyday is a valentine day if you want it to be. You make everyday seem like one for me."

From February to December, the couple continued to engage on Instagram, with fans noticing their growing bond.

After dating for two years, the couple finally tied the knot in December 2017 and announced their wedding with pictures on Instagram. They wrote, "Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever."

In August 2020, the couple shared the news of their first pregnancy and then welcomed their baby girl on January 11, 2021, and announced her arrival in February with this picture.

They welcomed their second child, a baby boy, in February 2024 and named him Akaay. The name made it to Google’s Year in Search 2024 list.

In the last seven years, Virushka's fans have not only fallen in love with their bond but also their signature pose, where Anushka lovingly holds Virat from behind.
