Malayalam Anthology Cheraathukal: Cast, Release Date, Where To Watch

Cheraathukal Cast, Release Date: After the release of Aanum Pennum, another Malayalam anthology named Cheraathukal is ready for its release.

The project is a collaboration by six directors who have directed  a collection of six different stories.

All the six directors of the film are making their debut through the film but have previously been part of the Malayalam film industry. The film is being directed by Dr Mathew Mampra under the banner of Mampra Foundation. One of the stories is by the acclaimed writer CV Balakrishnan.

Talking about the anthology, the team of Cheraathukal said that all the six stories handle six emotions. In the film, Mareena Michael plays the role of a bold and bubbly home nurse with a modern outlook, while Adil Ibrahim features as an unemployed engineer. Maala Parvathi appears in the film in the role of a strong-minded nun.

Cast

The wide cast of the six-story anthology features Adil Ibrahim, Mareena Michael, Maala Parvathi, Devaki Rajendran, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Parvathy Arun, and Maria Prince among many others. Mareena Michael, who is best known for her role in the film Aby will appear in one of the lead roles alongside Adil Ibrahim. Veteran South Indian actor Manohari Joy will also be featuring in the anthology in a significant role.

Release Date

According to the trailer of the film which was released on June 11, the Malayalam anthology film is set to premiere on June 17 on several OTT platforms which also includes regional streaming platforms.

Where To Watch

Cheraathukal will be setting a record to be the first Malayalam anthology film to release directly on an OTT platform in 2021. The film will be available to stream on the streaming platforms including NEE STREAM, Saina Play, First Shows, Zinea, Cave, FilMe, Roots video, Limelight, and Koode.
