Back in November 2021, Britney Spears was eager to share her experience in a sit-down interview with someone like Oprah Winfrey, but she ultimately chose to do it herself on YouTube on Saturday night. Spears provided details of her conservatorship and how challenging it was to find treatment in a now-deleted 20-minute audio statement.

Spears clarified she had no choice but to enter a mental-health centre in 2019 after being ordered to do so. Spears claimed that her father, Jamie Spears threatened her of Court. He stated, 'If you failed to get into the centre, then you have to attend big trial with no victory. I have people on my side, you don’t even have a lawyer.”

Britney went on to discuss her difficulties in finding legal advice, stating that whenever she called and attempted to meet an attorney, her phone was tapped. One of her friends eventually assisted her in finding a lawyer.

The pop artist published a shocking 22-minute audio tape detailing the abuse she endured as a result of her conservatorship on YouTube on 28 August. She also explained why she declined a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Spears, 40, articulated, “I get nothing out of sharing all of this. I have offers to do interviews with Oprah and so many people lots and lots of money, but it’s insane. I don’t want any of it. For me, it’s beyond a sit-down proper interview.” In the since-deleted audio, the Hold Me Closer singer again attacked her family, saying she thought they had abandoned her when she was in conservatorship.

Additionally, the Grammy winner confirmed her earlier assertion that she was coerced into entering a mental health facility. In the early months of 2019 she was admitted to the facility, because she didn't like a dance technique that was being practised on stage. She spoke of the humiliating conditions within the facility, where she supposedly had to strip in public and participate in militant forms of rehabilitation. | Britney Spears Rejects Oprah Interview
