The second season of the popular Netflix period drama series is all set to release in March 2022. The makers recently released the trailer of the season 2 after two small teasers.

The show is set in the Regency era of London and the show features an imagined high brow society that is racially integrated. The show has been produced by Shonda Rhimes and is based on the book series by author Julia Quinn. The second season trailer starts with the scenes of ballrooms where the viscount Anthony walks in to choose the woman he will marry. The Bridgerton family being at the centre of the plot, each member of the family is going to be in focus in different seasons. The first season was about Daphne Bridgerton (played by Pheobe Dynevor) who found love in the Duke of Hastings Simon Basset ( Rege-Jean Page) and the second season will be about Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) who will possibly fall for Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), an Indian character in the show.

The"> trailer introduced the new characters Kate and Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran). The younger sister Edwina seems to be falling for Anthony while her elder sister Kate warns her against it. While keep her little sister away from the notorious Viscount, Kate herself seems to be physically drawn towards him. The trailer shows how the characters are thinking about true love and what their loved ones are telling them about it. Apart from Kate and Anthony, the trailer also gave a glimpse of how the other characters of the show will be part of the narrative. The youngest Bridgerton daughter, Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jesse) might have a love interest in the second season. The former season's protagonist Daphne is seen holding her baby and helping out her brother in choosing the perfect life partner. The show might focus on her motherhood journey.

Another significant character of the show Lady Whistledown, a regency era Gossip Girl played by actor Nicola Coughlan was also highlighted in the trailer. Whistledown is the narrator of the show who is also part of the narrative. In the trailer, the queen is heard saying that she wants catch the "scribbler" because her words hold a lot more power than she had expected. The voiceover of the trailer says, "What happens when duty is in conflict with the heart’s true desire? There is potential for a considerable scandal, indeed."

As per recent reports, the show is also going to feature a variety of popular songs including popular Hindi film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam track. Possibly, the show will have a grand Indian wedding with Indian songs playing in the background.

The season two of Bridgerton will release on Netflix on March 25 this year.
