Since it first premiered, Netflix's Bridgerton is winning hearts with its plot and the inclusive cast. Based on Julia Quinn's novels, the regency drama's third season will soon be premiering and people are excited to learn about every new development. The third season will be focusing on the story of Penelope Featherington and  Colin Bridgerton.

The first season of the show focused on Daphne Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor) love story with Simon (Rege-Page Jean) and the second season focused on Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathon Bailey) relationship with Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

Bridgerton New Season Cast

The first two seasons saw the return of the same core cast-- the Bridgerton siblings, the queen, Danbury and the Featheringtons. Sharma family was an addition in season 2.

Reports have stated that of the eight siblings, seven will return Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Luke Thompson (Benedict), Luke Newton (Colin), Claudia Jessie (Eloise), Will Tilson (Gregory), and Florence Hunt (Hyacinth) will be returning to season three.

It is highly likely that the Sharma sisters will return in Season 3 and that Edwina will possibly fall in love with Queen’s nephew, Prince Friedrich (Freddie Stroma).

The fans of the show may have bid Ruby Stokes a goodbye maybe as reports suggest the actor who plays Francesca Bridgerton has left to film her other project titled Lockwood and Co. Reportedly, the Anatomy of A Scandal fame Hannah Dodd will be taking the baton as Francesca.

Apart from that Chris Van Dusen, the show’s creator, will also not be returning to the show, handing over the screenwriting reins to Jess Brownell for season three. Rumour mills also suggest that the Duke played by Rege Jean Page will also be returning to season 3.

"Regé-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and move on to other projects. But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses. Nothing has been formally agreed yet, but watch this space," a person close to the development was quoted as saying by The Sun.

Although, there's been no official confirmation about the cast of the latest season. Season 3 will likely return in early 2023. More details are awaited.
