Finally, multi-starrer action adventure Brahmastra release date is out. The Ayan Mukerji directorial which also stars Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy is set for a September 2022 release.
As per the reports the film is superhero epic rooted in mythology. And producer Karan Johar, Disney India and the team of the film as zeroed on a release date of 9 September 2022, Pinkvilla has reported. The film will bring together real life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt on-screen for the first time.
“The release coincides with a partial holiday on account of Ganesh Visarjan, specially in Maharashtra. The makers sat down to discuss multiple dates and this is the one which they are targeting at the moment. An official announcement shall be made within the next few weeks,” the platform has quoted a source.
Brahmastra is a big budget film, reportedly above Rs. 300 crore, and it is anticipated that the film will have pan-India release in multiple languages. The Brahmastra logo was launched down South by Baahubali director SS Rajamouli and actor Dhanush.
The film’s release has been postponed several times due the pandemic related protocols and lockdowns in different phases. It was initially scheduled for 15 August 2019 release, then pushed to Christmas 2019 and subsequently to summer 202o. However, the pandemic changed the plans.
Earlier, Alia Bhatt had release a glimpse from the much anticipated film on Instagram. She shared two pictures in which she is seen posing with her Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor and director Ayan Mukherji. In the picture, the actors along with Ayan Mukerji are seen in front of a Hindu goddess Kaali’s giant idol, the three of them were also seen holding some papers in their hands.
