Director Alankrita Shrivastava in an exclusive chat with SheThePeople said, “For me, the purpose is not to make films for the sake of it. I want to tell these kinds of stories. My aim is to tell stories that I feel passionately about and feel drawn to.”

As the trailer opens with the line, "Some women are born to rule. We call them queens," we see a show that's going to go down in history already. Very few films and shows actually give the well-deserved credit to feminine energy and power. Women are often just used as objects of a story's plot. Being rescued by a hero with barely any lines. But we are slowly entering the era that celebrates feminism in its true sense. From Four More Shots Please! that celebrated the sisterhood to the films like Lipstick Under My Burkha that showed the same truth about women and their search for freedom in a male-dominated world, we have finally graduated to Bombay Begums.
