Dobaaraa, an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Mirage, is one time-traveling movie that has recently been released. The film got mixed reviews, although most people praised the director, Anurag Kashyap, for introducing the idea of parallel universes and effectively incorporating time travel into a Bollywood film. The original film received mostly positive reviews for its creative plot.

In Hollywood, the idea or genre is particularly well-liked, and several time-traveling-themed movies have been made by directors that have received positive reviews from audiences. However, it's not that simple to make a great time-travel movie. A significant number of Bollywood films have tried and failed in the last ten years for a variety of reasons. Evidently, the logic can be a challenge, or sometimes directors fail to execute their vision or fail to utilise the idea properly which results in a lack of interesting or memorable time travel dramas. Here we have compiled a list of Bollywood films on time travel.

Baar Baar Dekho (2016)

Baar Baar Dekho, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif, is a love story that travels back and forth in time. Malhotra's character, Jai, persuades Diya, played by Kaif, to marry her and then pushes her to end their relationship. The following morning, Jai is in 2018, 2034, 2023, 2047, and then back in 2023. He recognises his wrong decisions after witnessing how Diya was affected by his lack of commitment, how he was never a good husband to her, and how he was never a decent son to his mother. He finally regains consciousness, makes amends with Diya, and swears to keep his word to her.

Hussain Kuwajerwala plays the role of Shree, an everyday man who must first make money in order to marry Sonu, his true love. Shree receives a request from wealthy businessman Randhawa to take part in a study that will pay him money. Shree accepts the offer after being lured by the prospect of a lavish, prosperous future, and his life is forever altered in the following twelve hours. The experiments, however, have a disastrous impact on his life.

Action Replayy (2010):

Action Replayy, which starred Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, and Aditya Roy Kapoor, was influenced by the 1985 movie Back to the Future. Bunty, played by Aditya Roy Kapoor, loses trust in commitment as his parents' marriage breaks down and repeatedly rejects his girlfriend's marriage offers. Her grandfather, who is also a scientist working on a time machine, is introduced to him by his girlfriend. In order to see how his parents were before they got married, he goes back in time to 35 years. Following a slew of incidents, he manages to mend things between his father and mother. As a result, it is shown that Bunty overcomes his problems with commitment, his parents will eventually get back together, and everyone will be content and in love.

13B (2009):

The film stars R. Madhavan, Neetu Chandra, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, and Deepak Dobriyal. When Manohar (R. Madhavan) first moves into 13B, he discovers a number of oddities happening in his building, such as the lift working for others but not for him. The oddest thing of all is a TV programme called Yavarum Nalam that depicts events in Manohar's personal life, such as his wife Neetu Chandra miscarrying. He discovers his apartment's terrible, violent background when he investigates the previous inhabitants of 13B with the assistance of a cop friend. He learns more about his potential future involvement in the residence as well and tries to sort things out.

Love Story 2050 (2008):

Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja played the leads in Love Story 2050. This is a sci-fi romance movie about a woman named Sana Bedi, played by Chopra, who travels to the future with the assistance of her boyfriend's uncle. However, things don't go as planned because they have to deal with Dr. Hoshi, a demi-god. Together, Karan, his friends, and two robots must battle him and travel back in time.
