Sushant Singh's Sister Moves Court

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai home on June 14, 2020. His death sparked a massive media frenzy and public debate, leading to multiple investigations. Initially, his father filed a case accusing his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, of abetment to suicide. Meanwhile, Rhea also filed a case against Sushant’s sisters, alleging they had wrongly prescribed him medicines.

The case was later handed over to the CBI, which conducted a thorough investigation, including crime scene analysis, witness statements, and forensic reports. Throughout the years, several theories emerged, including claims of political involvement, narcotics abuse, and even poisoning. However, forensic experts at AIIMS ruled out murder, stating there was no evidence of poisoning or strangulation.

After nearly five years, the CBI has filed its final reports, concluding that there is no proof that anyone drove the actor to suicide. This officially puts an end to the conspiracy theories that surrounded Sushant’s tragic death.

CBI has not only filed a closure report in Sushant’s death case but also cleared Rhea of any charges. Rhea and her brother, Showik Chakraborty, were previously arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug-related case linked to Sushant’s death.

Dia Mirza added that the media caused “deep anguish and harassment” to Rhea.

After Dia, Uorfi Javed also reacted to the news. She shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories, praising Rhea for her resilience. "The grace you’ve carried yourself through all of this is so inspiring," she wrote.

Soni Razdan expressed her frustration, stating, "Should have decided this BEFORE they put the poor girl in jail and tried to destroy a reputation. This was nothing but a modern-day witch hunt. Question is… where is the accountability? Who pays?"
