From SS Rajamouli’s RRR to Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, here are some big-budget Bollywood movies in 2022 to be released soon.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is one of the big-budget Bollywood movies of 2022 to be released on February 25, 2022. The Alia Bhatt-Starrer is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with an estimated budget of around 150 crores. Apart from this, Bollywood has many other big-budget films with leading actors and directors promising entertainment for the fans in 2022.

RRR

Directed by SS Rajamouli, RRR stars South Indian actors N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan along with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. The story revolves around to revolutionaries and their struggle for independence from British colonial rule in the 1920s. RRR will release on March 25,2022. Apart from Telugu, the movie will be released in five languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Prithviraj

Historical-drama film Prithviraj narrates the story of king Prithviraj Chauhan and his battle against Muhammad Ghori. The film features actors Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood and former Miss India Manushi Chillar. It is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Prithviraj is expected to release on April 1, 2022.

Shamshera

Set in pre-independent India, Shamshera discusses the story of a dacoit tribe and their battle for independence against the British rule. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor along with Sanjay Dutt. The film is directed by Karan Malhotra under Yash Raj Films. Shamshera will release on March 18, 2022.

Laal Singh Chaddha

This comedy-drama film is a remake of 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump where actor Aamir Khan recounts the Indian history as a man with low IQ. It also includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Pankaj Tripathi along with Sharman Joshi and others. It is directed by Advait Chandan under Aamir Khan Productions. Laal Singh Chadha is expected to release on April 14, 2022.

Adipurush

Based on the epic Ramayana, Adipurush is a Hindu mythological film starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Devdatta Nage and Saif Ali Khan. The film is shot in both Hindi and Telugu and is directed by Om Raut. Adipurush will release on August 11, 2022.

Brahmastra

This upcoming superhero movie is directed by Ayan Mukerji with leading actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Alia Bhatt and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The film is the first part of an intended trilogy based on Indian mythology. The film is expected to release on September 9, 2022.
