Sharing a sneak peek from the sets, Balan posted a behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram account on March 11. The video captures the auspicious muhurat shot of the film, with Vidya, Kartik Aaryan, and Triptii Dimri performing rituals together.
Joining Vidya Balan in this instalment are Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri, with Kartik Aaryan reprising his role from the previous sequel. The BTS footage also features Kartik and Triptii sharing a warm embrace, setting the tone for the film's intriguing narrative. Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 promises to blend spookiness with hilarity, offering audiences an entertaining cinematic experience. Kartik Aaryan recently teased fans with a sneak peek of his upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, hinting at a mystery co-star. Sharing a cryptic image on Instagram, Aaryan showcased a puzzle piece featuring a smiling girl's face placed amidst candles, a lantern, and a lock and key. With the film's name displayed on a nearby card, the actor left fans intrigued.
In a subsequent post, Aaryan revealed the mystery girl to be Triptii Dimri, known for her role in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Welcoming Dimri to the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Aaryan expressed excitement for their collaboration.
The Wait For OG Manjulika
Aaryan took to his Instagram to make the announcement and wrote "And its happening" with a fire emoticon as he wrote: "Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa" as he welcomed Vidya Balan on board writing: "Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya" sharing the collaborative post with his soon-to-be co-star Vidya Balan.
Confirming the news, the film's director Anees Bazmee in an interview with Zoom.TV shared that Balan will be playing a 3-day role in the film, and shared how thankful he is for her "gracious gesture" as he said: "I remember calling her (Balan), and she taking no time to give her nod of consent. I don't know why, but I can never forget that gracious gesture. It all started from there, and here I am today, ready to go on the set."
The third instalment of the film as announced by Aaryan will be released on Diwali 2024 and reportedly the film will commence its shooting on March 10, However, the director Bazmee has said he hasn't confirmed any dates yet.
Cast Of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
The news of Balan's return to the franchise has been met with excitement by fans. The first Bhool Bhulaiyaa film was a critical and commercial success, and Balan's performance as Manjulika was one of the highlights of the film in 2007.
It will be interesting to see how Balan's character is developed in the third film. The first film ended with Manjulika being defeated, but it is possible that she could return in the third film as a more powerful and vengeful spirit.
