Mammootty's 'Bheeshma Parvam' To Release On OTT, Details Here

Bheeshma Parvam's release date on the digital platform has been announced by the makers of the film. The Mammootty starrer had a great theatrical release in March and is ready to go on OTT soon. Here's what we know so far

South superstar Mammooty's latest Malayalam film Bheeshma Parvam will soon be gracing the digital screens and will be available for binge-at-home for fans all around the world. The multi-starrer was a huge success theatrically with a cast of popular south actors including Mammootty, Veena Nandakumar, Soubin Shahir, Anusuya Bharadwaj, Sreenath Bhasi and Farhaan Faasil.

The action and gangster thriller starring Mammootty was bankrolled and directed by Amal Neerad under his production banner. He also co-wrote the story with Devadarh Shaji. Anend C Chandran is the cinematographer and the music of the film is given by Sushin Shyam. The film opened to a positive response at the box office. According to a popular Malayalam film industry tracker, Bheeshma Parvam had crossed Rs 28 crore in the gross collection from Kerala alone since its release on March 3. The film now holds the record for the opening weekend collection; it beat Baahubali (2015) as well as Lucifer (2016) in the Kerala market.

Bheeshma Parvam Plot:

Mammootty essays the role of Michael Anjootti in the film who was a dangerous gangster during the 80s but later changed his ways and became a maritime transporter in Fort Kochi. The third eldest out of the five children of the Anjootti family, Michael became the patriarch of the family after his eldest brother's death and is supported by his younger siblings and their children. However, the second eldest brother Mathai and his sons, Peter and Paul, are not happy because of his control over their lives. Their lives take an ugly turn when Michael's nephews side with his old enemies in order to bring him down and take his position.

Bheeshma Parvam will be released on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar on April 1, 2022, worldwide. The film had its theatrical release on March 3, 2022, and was acclaimed by critics. The Malayalam film also broke many box office records and the makers are expecting a wider reach to the audience through the OTT release.
