Movies saw some very memorable and iconic wedding moments as stars tied the knot on screen. Some stood out for their simplicity, others were lauded for their exuberance. 1. Meenakshi Sundareshwar: What could more iconic than a wedding taking place in the traditional and revered Madhurai temple?
The wedding scene is visually rich with Sanya Malhotra playing Meenakshi draped in a South Indian saree that should be added in the list of the brides-to-be. Meenakshi standing on a pedestal to match the height of Sundareshwar played by Abhimanyu and dancing her heart out with all smiles is what makes it one of the most loved wedding scenes of 2021.
2. Shershaah : The scene where Vikram Batra (Sidharth Malhotra) holds Dimple's (Kiara Advani) dupatta in the gurudwara while taking pheras and then saying "shadi mubarak ho Mrs. Batra" makes one goes awww. Though this wasn't a formal wedding scene, it stood out for me.
3. Hum Do Humara Do : Rajkumar Rao and Kriti Sanon gave me wedding goals through the "">Vedha Sajjeya" song.
The epic wedding scene from this movie shone through the song has everything a couple would want in a wedding from location to clothes to decor. The wedding scene captures the emotions of the couple which makes one more attached to the scene.
4. Rashmi Rocket: In ">Zindagi Tere Naam song of the movie there is a wedding scene where Rashmi (Taapsee Panu) and Captain Gagan Thakur (Priyanshi Painyuli) get married in a low-key wedding with their close circle in their house by singing the papers.
What makes this an iconic wedding? Its simplicity and the fact that there was no big fat Indian wedding but just their close circle and their love.
