Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s mother, Ayesha Shroff, was reportedly dupped of 58.53 lakh by a kickboxer whom she appointed as a staff member at her son’s firm. The news was confirmed by Mumbai police officials on Friday.
According to the complaint registered by Ayesha Shroff at the Santacruz police station, the kickboxer, identified as Alan Fernandes, was appointed as director of operations at Tiger Shroff’s firm, MMA Matrix Company. The company provides training in mixed martial arts, and Ayesha Shroff handles the administration of the firm.
Ayesha Shroff Duped Rs.58 Lakhs
Fernandes was appointed as the Director of Operations in 2018. He is now being accused of collecting money to organise 112 tournaments in India and abroad through the firm. He had allegedly collected Rs. 58.53 lakh in his personal account, as per the FIR. The total amount collected under the guise of fees from December 2018 to January 2023 amounted to Rs. 58,53,591.
Ayesha Shroff registered a complaint with the Mumbai Police on May 3, following which Fernandes was charged with cheating, criminal breach of trust, and other offences under sections 420, 408, 465, 467, and 468 of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation is currently ongoing.
Ayesha Shroff is a former actor and model. She’s well known for her role in the 1984 film Teri Baahon Mein, opposite Mohnish Bahl. The 63-year-old former actor turned producer with Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain, featuring Govinda. In 2003, her production company, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and debuted Katrina Kaif, miserably failed at the box office, forcing her family to sell their house.
Ayesha Shroff is married to Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and together have two children, Tiger Shroff, and entrepreneur Krishna Shroff. She runs the media company Jackie Shroff Entertainment Limited along with her spouse.
This is not the first time Ayesha Shroff has filed a fraud complaint. In 2015, she was in the news for alleging actor Sahil Khan of cheating, criminal intimidation, and nonpayment of dues of Rs. 4 crores.
