Atlee Kumar and his wife, Priya, are expecting their first child. They announced the news in a post that they shared on Instagram.

The filmmaker Atlee Kumar revealed on Friday that he will soon have a child. On Instagram, he uploaded photos of himself and his wife, Priya Mohan, from her pregnancy photoshoot.

The couple smiled and looked at each other as they stood side by side in the first picture. Priya kept her arms around Atlee's face, and her bodycon dress made her baby bump quite visible. In the second image, Priya was seated on the ground and smiled broadly as she looked at Atlee, who was seated on a couch behind her. He kept his arm on her stomach while smiling. Their dog also sat near Priya. The third image shows a sketch of the couple sitting with their dog and a pair of tiny red shoes.

The joint post also had a note that read, "Happy to announce that we are pregnant need all your blessing and love, Wit love Atlee & Priya" The comments section was overflowing with congratulatory remarks from friends and followers.

Atlee, who is best known for directing Tamil movies like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal, and Bigil, is soon going to make his debut in the Bollywood industry with Jawan. Shah Rukh Khan will play the main lead in his directorial debut in Bollywood. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sanya Malhotra are among the other actors who appear in it. The film is slated to release in 2023.

In June of this year, a teaser for Jawan that lasted over a minute was released. The teaser starts with the Northern Lights being seen over mountaintops. In the video, Khan was sitting in the dark with the movie's soundtrack playing while wearing a bandage over his face. He then unveiled weapons by removing a tarpaulin from a table in the shed. In the teaser, a female voice on a walkie-talkie said, "Good to go, chief." Khan's face is shown in a close-up as he chuckles and says, "Ready!"

Atlee is rumoured to work with actor Vijay once Jawan is finished with his upcoming Tamil film. The two have so far collaborated on three films, all of which have been commercial successes.
