When Is Arshad Warsi Starrer Asur Season 2 Releasing?

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release date, cast and more details about Asur Season 2. The story of the show revolves around a modern-day serial killer with religious connections. Here is all that we know about the second season of the show.

Asur is a popular web series that premiered on March 2nd, 2020. A vicious serial killer and a CBI team led by forensic officer Nikhil Nair (Barun Sobti) and Dhananjay Rajpoot (Arshad Warsi) played a chase game in the first season. The game of "sur-asur," or good vs. evil, will resume in the second season too, promising more thrills. After all, Vishesh Bansal as Shubh (serial murderer) is not alone, it was fairly obvious by the  end of  the first season.

The cast would reportedly stay the same, with the exception of some characters. Sharib Hashmi, who played officer Lolark Dubey in the first season, died and therefore will most likely not return for the second season. Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Anupriya Goenka, Ridhi Dogra, Amey Wagh and Vishesh Bansal will reprise their respective roles.

According to reports, the second season will introduce several new characters. Adithi Kalkunte, Meiyang Chang, Ajoy Chakraborty, Vikaas Suryavanshi, and Barkha Sengupta and others are expected to join the cast.

In the upcoming season, the CBI team may be faced with a gang of serial killers and crooks with malicious intentions.

Asur Season 2 Release Date:

Filming for the second season was put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, according to several reports, the shooting began in July 2021. According to the latest reports, the filming is nearing completion now. The second season was shot in Varanasi, Manali, and Delhi. Barun Sobti finished filming the second season in January 2022.

The fans are really excited about Asur Season 2 and are waiting to learn when it will be released on Voot. As for the release date, Asur Season 2 is slated to arrive in 2022. These are, however, simply guesses. As a result, we'll have to wait for official word on the Asur Season 2 release date.
