April 2025 Watch-List: OTT & Theatrical Releases Lineup

This April, several highly anticipated sequels and fresh originals are set to premiere across OTT and theatres. Returning favourites include Maharani, Adrishyam, Chhorii, and Kesari. Meanwhile, fresh films like Phule and Bhool Chuk Maaf are set to make their debut.

OTT Releases in April

Kaafir, April 4

The story revolves around Kainaaz Akhtar, a woman from Pakistan-administered Kashmir, who ends up on the Indian side of the Line of Control (LOC) and is detained under suspicion of being a militant. The series stars Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina.

Adrishyam 2, April 4

Adrishyam 2 continues the thrilling saga of undercover intelligence officers Ravi Verma and Parvati Sehgal, now joined by Durga, portrayed by Pooja Gor.

Test, April 4

A gripping Tamil drama that weaves together the lives of three individuals making pivotal choices, all set against the backdrop of a high-stakes cricket match. Starring R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, Siddharth, and Meera Jasmine.

Chamak, April 4

Chamak picks up the intense story of Kaala, a rapper seeking justice for his father, the slain singer Tara Singh. The second season features Isha Talwar, Navneet Nishan, Mukesh Chhabra, and Prince Kanwaljit Singh.

Chhaava, April 11

Directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshay Khanna, the film is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Chhorii 2, April 11

The horror drama Chhorii 2 is set to return, featuring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan in key roles.

Jewel Thief, April 25

Jewel Thief, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat, promises a thrilling blend of action, suspense, and intrigue. The ensemble cast also includes Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta.

Maharani S4

Huma Qureshi returns as Rani Bharti, the formidable lead in the political drama, while Sohum Shah reprises his role as Bheema, Bihar's chief minister.

Theatrical Releases in April

Jaat, April 10

Jaat is an action thriller starring Sunny Deol in the lead role, with Regina Cassandra as the female lead and Randeep Hooda as the main antagonist. 

Phule

Phule showcases the remarkable contributions of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, pioneers of equality and education in India. It stars Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa.

Kesari, Chapter 2, April 18

This biopic centred on a legendary lawyer and freedom fighter stars Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday. 

The Bhootnii, April 19

As the title suggests, the film is a horror comedy and features Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, and Sunny Singh.
