Team Of Chakda Xpress Wraps Up Shoot, Shares Photos

Anushka Sharma and the team of Chakda Xpress announce the wrapping up of their shoot. The film will be released on Netflix, so the OTT platform posted a series of photos in collaboration with Anushka Sharma which compiles moments from their wrap-up.

Anushka Sharma will be playing the lead role in the biopic of Jhulan Goswami in the film Chakda Xpress. Sharma will be playing a cricketer for the first time in her career. Jhulan Goswami is one of the fastest female bowlers of Indian cricket. She has had a bright athletic career so far and retired this year in September. Goswami was born in Chakda town of West Bengal and from there came the name of the film.

Sharma in the collaborative post with Netflix wrote, "It’s a wrap on #ChakdaXpress and thank you @JhulanGoswami for the final clap to bring an end to the shoot! 💙🎬🏏#ComingSoon #ChakdaXpressOnNetflix". The post contains photos of the team cutting a cake which is the theme of the film. There is a clapperboard on the cake that says it was a 65-day shoot, with 7 different schedules and shot in 6 different cities. Jhulan Goswami herself is also present in the pictures which shows her involvement in the making of the film. The film's director Prosit Roy can also be found in the photos.

Prosit Roy posted a photo of the shadow of Anushka Sharma and Jhulan Goswami standing together and wrote, "And thats a wrap on #ChakdaXpress 🏏🦹‍♀️Huge thanks to my amazing cast and crew 🙌🏽❤️🤗#teamwormakesadreamwork". Tamal Sen who is a writer for films like Mai is also a part of Chakda Xpress, he shared his experience in the making of the film, and he wrote, "65 Days, 7 Schedules, 6 Cities. Through heat, rain, cold, covid, sleep deprivation, joy, food coma, delirium, we have finally arrived at the final day of shoot for Chakda Xpress!! And what an adventure it has been - with a team that kicks serious ass!"

Jhulan Goswami who is also very excited about the film posted photos with Anushka Sharma and former cricketer and co-producer of the film Rajneesh Chopra. She wrote, "What an incredible journey it has been! @rajneesh5258 @anushkasharma 🎬💯". Jhulan Goswami received feedback on the film, casting on her Twitter account, someone tweeted, "I don't think anushka is the right choice for playing jhulan, there were many others, body structure is very different. And she has an attitude too. It will not be that great a film as it should have been. Mary Kom, Milkha Singh casting were spot on." While another person who is very excited about the film, tweeted, "When is the release of this movie. Can’t wait to see the story of a Legend unfold."

Anushka Sharma had a great journey shooting for the film as she shared moments from it on her Instagram account before. She shared photos of food she had when she wrapped up shooting the schedule for Kolkata. Naming all the quintessential eateries and their iconic dishes, she wrote the caption, "Eat-Pray-Love: My Kolkata photo dump!#ScheduleWrap #ChakdaXpress #Kolkata
