"He Taught Us The Power Of Honesty": Anushka Sharma On Father's 60th Birthday

Anushka Sharma Father: Actor Anushka Sharma has often talked about her father and the lessons she received from him during her growing years.

Sharma posted a heartwarming message on her father's 60th birthday on Instagram and many daughters can relate.

She posted an old picture of her father lying on a sofa with a book in his hand and expressed her gratitude towards him. In the picture caption, Sharma wrote, "Celebrating 60 glorious years of the most unique 1961 special edition - my papa."

"Growing up he taught us the power of honesty, compassion, acceptance and righteousness. And always stressed upon the peace of mind that follows by being honest and hassle-free. Inspired me in so many more ways than he knows! Supported me like I will never be able to reciprocate. And loved me like only he can. Love you papa." She added, "Happy 60th Birthday to you." The Instagram post also included other old pictures from her father's days in the Indian army, one with her mother, a picture from her own wedding and some recent ones with the family together in a frame.

Sharma gave birth to her firstborn, a baby girl, in January this year. She along with her husband and cricketer Virat Kohli made her public appearance not long after that. In another Instagram post, talking about her daughter Vamika, Anushka Sharma said that her baby girl has taken 'love, presence and gratitude' to a whole new level. She wrote, "Tears , laughter , worry , bliss - emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes!

Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full."

On the work front, the actor recently announced a new series named Oh Mai! which will have a famous television actor Sakshi Tanwar as its main lead. Though there are yet no official statements about the release date of the series, Sharma on her social media had said that it will soon be out on Netflix.

Anushka Sharma apart from acting also runs a production house named Clean Slate Films with her brother Karnesh Sharma.
