Rupali Ganguly became the highest-paid female TV actor on February 2 when she hiked her fees by double, as per reports. This decision was taken keeping the immense popularity of the show and the status of Rupali as a senior actor in mind. Now Rupali Ganguly reportedly charges three lakh rupees per episode which earlier was 1.5 lakhs per episode.

According to media reports, Rupali Ganguly is now paid more than her co-stars Sudhanshu Pandey and Gaurav Khanna who get 1.5 lakhs per episode. The protagonist of Rajan Shahi's TV show is paid even more than many popular male actors of the TV industry like Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy. And thus, Rupali now has another milestone in her name as now she is the highest paid female TV actor.

Rupali Ganguly rose to fame in 2004 with the role of Monisha in Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. The 44-year-old actor went on to star in many hit TV shows like Sanjivni and Baa, Bahu Aur Beti. Anupamaa is her comeback on the TV screen where she plays the role of a woman who is trapped in her responsibilities as a daughter-in-law, mother and wife.
