'Excessively Violent But Extremely Engaging': Animal Twitter Reviews

The highly anticipated revenge drama featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, titled Animal, was finally released on December 1st. The movie, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also stars Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles. Centred around a strained relationship between a father and son, Anil Kapoor portrays the emotionally distant father, while Ranbir Kapoor portrays the troubled and resentful son. Despite the toxicity in their relationship, Ranbir's character is conditioned to believe that his father is the 'greatest father' in existence.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given the film an A certificate, designating it suitable for adults only, with an approved runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes (201 minutes). A viewer described the film as excessively violent, gory, and wild! However, he found the storyline to be extremely engaging. He also praised Ranbir Kapoor's commitment to his role as Ranvijay Singh Balbir.

ANIMAL is ferocious. Vanga lifts his action sensibilities from S. Craig Zahler and Park Chan-wook, daddy issues from The Fabelmans and Udaan, and misogyny from himself, creating a feral concoction of blood and hate. Was shocked at the rawdogging scene between Bobby and Ranbir.
