Apart from Ranbir, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Doel, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri. Director Sandeep Vanga Reddy is widely known for his controversial films Arjun Reddy and its Hindi counterpart Kabir Singh.

From the look of the teaser, Animal apparently revolves around a toxic father-son relationship set against the backdrop of underworld gang wars and bloodshed.

Animal Teaser Released

The teaser begins with the characters of Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna taking a walk along the field when she asks him if he has thought about kids, to which he replies that he wants to be a father. When she asks him if he will be like his father, Kapoor gets triggered and recalls an incident from his flashback where his father (Anil Kapoor) is seen slapping him mercilessly and calling him a criminal, indicating that the duo share an extremely unhealthy relationship. However, Kapoor gets defensive and says, “My father is the best father in the world; don’t ever go there.”

Then there’s a scene where Anil Kapoor’s character is saying, “I am sure I made some mistakes. I didn’t know how to train a son,” to which Ranbir Kapoor’s character replies, “You trained me well.” It's evident from the teaser that Anil Kapoor is sort of the patriarch of the family.

The teaser then moves on to snippets of Ranbir Kapoor transforming into what seems like an underworld gangster. A series of raw scenes, high-octane stunts, and bloodshed follows, with intense dramatic music playing in the background. From a boy next door, Ranbir Kapoor's character turns into a terrifying gangster. The “whys” and “hows” are to be unveiled in the film.

A bleeding Ranbir Kapoor is then shown lying on the ground as the camera pans out on him with a voiceover, telling his father that he has to “find him” and “finish him.” The” “him” seemingly appears to be Bobby Doel, who is shown holding a knife in hand as the teaser ends.

Animal Release Date

The film was initially scheduled to release on August 11, 2023, but was later postponed. Animal will hit theatres on December 1, 2023. Gear up to see Ranbir Kapoor in an enticing new avatar this holiday season.
