Music is not just about entertainment, for many, it is about expressing unsaid thoughts and the same time relating with them. Many find solace in music. There are lot many songs, albums, and artists, that made sense to us. It is already December and the year is about to end, so before we get into 2023, let's look at what music and artist stole the heart of listeners throughout 2022. Amazon Music released the list of most streamed music with its ‘Best of 2022’ Playlists. The audio streaming platform made an annual roundup of the top artists, songs, albums, and podcasts. It has created a personalized playlist titled My Year in Review 2022.
The song which tops the list was Kesariya. It was one of the most streamed songs in Hindi. Oo Anatava became the most viral and streamed song in Telugu this year. Other than that Harry Style’s As It Was, emerged as the most-streamed international song of 2022. Arijit Singh, Ed Sheeran, Anirudh Ravichander, and AP Dhillon are the most streamed Artists in 2022.
Amazon Music Best of 2022 Songs
The most streamed Hindi Album this year was Jugjugg Jeeyo and the music was created by musicians Tanishk Bagchi, Kavita Seth, Vishal Shekhar, and others.
From regional languages, the Arabic Kuthu became the most streamed Tamil Song of 2022 and Anirudh Ravichander became the most streamed Tamil Artist. Beast became the most streamed Tamil Album.
For Telugu, Oo Antava Oo from the movie Pushpa was the most streamed song, whereas Pushpa became the most streamed album. Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) was the most streamed Telugu Artist this year. For Kannada, Ra Ra Rakkamma from Vikrant Rona became the most streamed song this year. Ravi Basrur was titled the most streamed Kannada artist and KGF2 featured as the most streamed Album in Kannada.
In Punjabi, Shubh’s No Love became the most streamed, with Indo-Canadian Artist, AP Dhillon labelled as the most streamed Artist in Punjabi. Diljit Dosanjh’s album Drive Thru became the most streamed Punjabi.
On international music, Harry Styles's Song top the list. Global sensation, Ed Sheeran is titled the most streamed International Artist of 2022.
From the podcast, the Stories of Mahabharata emerged as the most listened Podcast in 2022 followed by Kadhai Podcast and Sadhguru’s official podcast.
