Amanda Seyfried Regrets Shooting Nude Scenes at 19

She explicitly spoke about her rejections, her experience of not getting a musical role in the film adaptation of `Wicked. She said, "It was devastating, and it wasn’t for any other reason than I really felt like it was right. But that doesn’t take away from my confidence at all."

Recently, Amanda Seyfried, a singer-actor reflected on her career choices. Seyfried gained fame in the mid-2000s with roles in movies like Mean Girls and Veronica Mars, but she regrets a few of her early roles.

She recalled the start of her career, pointing out one of the uncomfortable incidents wherein she was naked on set as a teen.   

“Being 19, walking around without my underwear on – like, are you kidding me? How did I let that happen?” Oh, I know why: I was 19, and I didn’t want to upset anybody, and I wanted to keep my job. That’s why”, said Seyfried in an interview with Porter Magazine.

 

36-years-old also discussed how she wished there were intimacy coordinators when she started her career, citing uncomfortable situations she came across during her career. Referring to Hollywood’s pre-#MeToo time, Seyfried added that she emerged “pretty unscathed” from her early days as an actor in Hollywood, but she does look back in shock.

Mean Girls star also discussed creepy interactions with fans in her previous interviews. She felt gross when a man fan asked her about the weather directing to one of the Mean Girls scenes where she predicted rain using her breasts.

Seyfried also credits her age for the respect she has earned over two decades in showbiz. She feels it has nothing to do with the fame and critical acclaim of her films. "I’m respected because I’m 36 years old and I know who the f–k I am", said Seyfried to the Poter Magazine. 

Lately, the actor landed her first Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout. Seyfried got her big break at the age of 18 and played Karen Smith in Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. Seyfried also acted in The Last Word, Lovelace, Ted, As the World Turns and All My Children. She is currently shooting for The Crowded Room, a drama anthology.
