All Of Us Are Dead Season 2 Confirmed! Who Survived?

Netflix Korea on June 6, 1o pm IST officially announced ‘All of Us Are Dead’ will be coming back with season 2, looks like the dead are rising once again.

“All of Us Are Dead,” is one of the popular Korean shows on Netflix. This zombie series, which follows the lives of high schooler students, first premiered in January 2022. The series explored just one possibility- 'What if an average high school suddenly became ground zero for the zombie apocalypse?' Soon after its release, this became one of the top ten streamed non-English shows. 'All Of Us Are Dead' is also the second most successful show after 'Squid Game.'

All Of Us Are Dead Season 2 Release: Who Has Managed To Survive?

The confirmation of the release of the second season came as a part of Netflix’s Geeked Week. Geeked Week is an event intended to showcase all the series in line to release, new or returning along with making Netflix the home of the horror and sci-fi genre of the Asian content. This came after there was a 20-30% rise from 2020 to 2021, in the viewing of sci-fi and horror on Netflix in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Geeked Week video also confirmed the return of the characters, the leads of the show  Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun and Lomon. These actors can be seen thanking fans for their support of the show along with confirming the return of season 2. This series is based on a Korean webtoon Now at Our School by Joo Dong-Geun, making a high school the origin of the zombie apocalypse after a science experiment goes wrong. These kids now cut off from the outside world must fight for their survival.

Season 2 will pick up right where season 1 left off. Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger, with six survivors, one of them, class president Nam-ra (Cho) who is now a half-zombie. These survivors are seen being quarantined by the government. The series stars Park, Yoon, Cho, Lomon, Yoo In-soo, Lee Yoo-mi, Kim Byung-Chul, Lee Kyu-Hyung, and Jeon Bae-soo.  Chun served as head writer and Lee Jae-kyoo and Kim Nam-Su helmed the first season.

Netflix Korea officially confirmed the series return with the caption “Can we survive again? Hyosan High School friends’ fierce zombie survival period begins. ‘All of Us Are Dead’ season 2, only on Netflix.” Netflix added an announcement clip, “Season 2 production confirmation news from Park Ji Hoo, Yoon Chan Young, Choi Yi Hyun and Lomon of ‘All of Us Are Dead’ through Geeked Week 2022! Guys, come quickly!”

Yoon Chan Young in the announcement ">video is seen saying-  “Is this on? Is it working? Hello, everyone. It’s been a while. Thank you to the Netflix fans worldwide for giving so much love to ALL OF US ARE DEAD Season 1.” Park Ji Hoo-, “How are you? We’ve been doing well. Did you hear the news?” Lomon (Park Solomon) adds-, “ALL OF US ARE DEAD Season 2 is confirmed. We hope you also enjoy Season 2.” finally Cho Yi Hyun wraps up saying, “What will happen in ALL OF US ARE DEAD Season 2? My friends are waiting for me, so I’m going to leave now. See you!” All Of Us Are Dead new season will be available to watch on Netflix, much like the previous season.
