Ahead of their film’s release, Rani and Rocky, aka Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra’s The Bridal Couture Show on Thursday. Alia Bhatt was the showstopper along with Ranveer Singh in the star-studded show in Mumbai.
Alia Bhatt was dressed in a heavy silver and black lehenga, a deep-neck blouse, and a dupatta on her head. She complemented the outfit with a statement necklace and ring and completed her look with loose hair. The lehenga was adorned with intricate designs, which gave it a royal look. However, since the video of Bhatt's ramp walk in royal attire surfaced on the internet, netizens swarmed into the comment section.
One user wrote that Alia Bhatt looked "uncomfortable" and "pretentious." This view was supported by a lot of other netizens. Another group of Twitter users felt that Bhatt was "clearly struggling to walk and maintain grace," which was again backed up with several similar comments. Yet another comment read that actors were for acting and not for ramp walks.

Other users noted that she looked awkward and couldn’t walk, although the dress was gorgeous. One netizen pointed out that they should have done more rehearsals, but then they might have been busy with promotions. Another user noted that Alia Bhatt couldn’t even raise her head up or walk properly as the dress was heavy, but commented that she looked pretty.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt is awaiting the release of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film, which also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, is set to hit theatres on July 28.
The actor is also all set to make her Hollywood debut in the upcoming thriller film Heart of Stone, helmed by Tom Harper. The film also stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the lead roles. The film’s trailer was launched at Tudum 2023 in Brazil and will be released on Netflix on August 11.
