Ariel Pilates is a gym exercise performed by using aerial silk or hammock hanging down from the ceiling and a few inches above the floor. The performer entangles herself with the silk and executes various poses such as sitting, standing or hanging upside down. It is full-body work out that helps in enhancing mood, strengthen muscles and joints, to improve blood circulation and digestion and stretch and tone the body.  The exercise has various body and mind benefits that help in keeping the body fit and consolidated.

A few weeks back she managed to get in 5 reps at 50 kgs and she rocked it. Today was lifting day and we felt we had the energy to push that weight a little higher. After a few warm-up sets she cruised through 3 reps at 60kgs which was a personal best for her anyway (I missed a count and I got the stare). Next, we decided to push it even further and do just 1 rep at 70 kgs - knowing @aliaabhatt she decided to give me 2 for good measure. Love the fact that she NEVER backs down from what is put in front of her.”

Alia Bhatt is currently shooting for Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 in Mumbai with her co-star Aditya Roy Kapoor, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt. Sadak 2 is the remake of the hit movie Sadak released in 1991 starring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt.

Besides Sadak 2, she has also signed and soon to commence the shooting for Karan Johar’s Takht. In this movie, Alia will be sharing the screen Ranveer Kapoor after the brilliant performance of the actors in Gully Boy. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Jahanvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor will also be seen in the movie. Alia and Ranbir Kapoor’s debut movie together, the most awaited Brahmastra, is expected to release in next year.
