Bhabani made her Bollywood hairstyling debut in Farhan Akhtar's Dil Chahta Hai in 2001. In many areas, including the actors' appearances, it was a ground-breaking film. It presented her with significant difficulties because she had to develop distinct looks for each of the stars, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna. The film proved to be a pivotal event for her business and the entire hairdressing industry.

Akhtar and Bhabani were married in 2000. They are supposed to have met on the set of Dil Chahta Hai, where she worked as a hairstylist. Shakya, 21, and Akira, 15, are Adhuna Bhabani and Farhan Akhtar's two daughters. In 2017, the two announced their split.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar married on February 19 in a close-knit ceremony attended by Farah Khan, Rhea Chakraborty, Hrithik Roshan, Saqib Saleem, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and Farhan's sister, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar. Following that, the couple and their guests shared photos of the wedding ceremony on social media, offering admirers a glimpse into the event.

On February 21, they registered their marriage with the court and handed out sweets to photographers outside Shibani's home in Bandra, Mumbai.

Post their wedding, Ritesh Sidhwani, the couple's close friend, organised a party for Bollywood celebrities Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, and others joined Kareena Kapoor and her girl group, which included her sister Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora.
