"He's In A Better Place": Addite Malik's Father Passes Away, Actor Pens Emotional Note

Addite Malik father: "We lost our father two days ago," actor couple Addite and Mohit Malik said in a joint statement, posted to the former's Instagram account on the passing of her parent.

The 38-year-old, sharing a family photo on Friday, wrote her father "fought and he fought. Yet it was time to go and for us its time to let go." Colleagues and friends of Malik are mourning her loss with her in the comments below.

Malik does not mention the cause of death, writing only "he's in a better place."

"We love you papa and promise we will always smile because that's the way you liked it! Your Daughter Aditi & Son Mohit," the Shararat actor added in her note.

In April this year, the television star couple welcomed their first child, a boy named Ekbir. Sharing snaps from moments the baby spent with her parents, Malik in an Instagram post from May wrote, "The best gift a parent can get is becoming grandparents. Seeing them with Ekbir makes me feel so lucky that I could give them this joy..."
