"I Wanted To Stop The Trend Of Me Doing Furniture Roles," Says Actor Rimi Sen

Sen was paid Rs. 2 crores to stay in the house for a period of 50 days. In an interview, the actor revealed that she was unhappy about the makers offering her typical roles and therefore decided to quit acting.

She said that she was doing quite well 10 years back but she was being offered only comedy movies. The actor was looking for creative satisfaction which she wasn't getting out of the movies she had done. She further added that she wanted to work in projects with directors like Shree Ram Raghvan, Soojit Sircar and Neeraj Pandey. But she didn't get. So she decided to stop. Sen went on to say, "I wanted to change the trend of me doing comedy movies and furniture roles."

In an earlier interview, actor Rimi Sen revealed that she did Bigg Boss only for money and that no one earns so much in such a short duration.

Actor Rimi Sen managed to survive even with no film offers as she used to do a lot of events and is even working as a producer. In her own words, "I used to do a lot of events. I also produced a film Budhia Singh- Born To Win which also received a national award." She then added, "I am working on a couple of projects as a producer and will announce about it, if everything gets finalised. Now, if I do acting it will be just for my creative satisfaction and not money."

Sen also revealed that a strong PR and lobby is needed to be a part of the film industry which she didn't have back in her time.
