Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev Actor Kanishka Soni Marries Herself

Television actor Kanishka Soni, who turned 35 today, has married herself. The television actor was seen in Diya Aur Baati Hum and Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. She shared the sologamy news via a post on her social media a few days ago.

Kanishka Soni is most known for playing Daisa's bahu in Diya Aur Baati Hum, Manjari Satya Nayak opposite Akshay Dogra in Do Dil Ek Jaan, Sati's sister Revati in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Parashavi in Mahabharat, Maya Thakur in Begusarai, Sumitra in Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, and Inspector Redkar in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala.

Kanishka Soni Marries Herself:

The actor recently revealed that she has married herself in an Instagram post. She is seen wearing vermillion and mangalsutra in the latest pictures. She wrote, " Married to myself 😃❤️ since I fulfilled all my dreams my own & the only person I am in love with is MYSELF😍 💕 answer to all questions I am getting 😄🤗🎸🎤🎼 I don’t need any Man Ever .. I am happy always alone & in solitude with my guitar 🎸 I am the goddess , Strong & Powerful , shiva & Shakti everything is inside ME , Thank you 🙏"

The actor is not the first woman to marry herself. On July 9, a Gujarati woman Kshama Bindu married herself and followed all the traditional wedding rituals of Mehendi and Haldi. This was the first instance of 'sologamy' in India.

In an interview, Kanishka Soni said, "I have enjoyed appearing in a number of TV shows, music videos, and several advertisements back in India. I had a lot of offers on my hands, but later I learned that there is no guarantee that a TV show will even continue for three months and that you must start again from scratch."

The actor added, "I stopped having faith in the Indian TV industry. I eventually made the decision to seek a career here in Hollywood because reading about nepotism in Bollywood made me feel so disturbed. I did have a digital series in addition to a TV series. However, I refused out of confusion. "
