She gets in a dilemma when she is forced to defend a rapist in return of releasing her kidnapped daughter. The 2015 movie also starred Irrfan Khan and was Aishwarya’s comeback in the industry.

Helicopter Eela

A great movie that shows the relatable life of mothers and children and the anecdotes in the life of Eela and her son Vivaan. Forced to abandon her dream of becoming a singer when her husband left her and their son, Eela’s dreams are revoked by her son. Paa is not just a story about a child with progeria. It is also features a beautiful mother-son relationship. Single mother Vidya is a gynecologist and takes care of her 12 year old Auro who has a rare disease called progeria. When Auro receives the best student award in his school, she is shocked to find that the award was presented by Amol, her past love and Auro’s biological father. This 2009 movie say phenomenal performances by Vidya Balan, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.

Aaja Nachle

The 2007 movie features the story of a choreographer and single mother Dia (Madhuri Dixit Nene) who comes back to her home town in India with her daughter Radha to meet her dying dance teacher and eventually stays to save her old dance theatre from demolishing. The movie features her love story with a foreigner and the prejudices she faces years later after she ran from home for love.

Tribhanga
