'Dhurandhar' Star Sara Arjun Was A Celebrated Child Actor; Recognise Her?

Ranveer Singh is set to headline a new big-budget action-packed project, Dhurandhar. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film also features actors Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The film's first promo was released on Ranveer's birthday (July 6), generating significant buzz on social media. However, the latest casting news involving a former child star has stirred some controversy online.

Is 20-Year-Old Sara Arjun Romancing Ranveer Singh? 

Dhurandhar features 20-year-old Sara Arjun, a former child actor, who reportedly plays the love interest of 40-year-old Ranveer Singh. Sara, who gained recognition for her role as the younger version of Aishwarya Rai’s character in Ponniyin Selvan (2022-23), has worked extensively in Indian cinema from a very young age.

As per an earlier report in Peeping Moon, "Although her role is said to be relatively small in this male-dominated story, Dhurandhar marks her transition to a lead heroine after years of being known as a child actress in Hindi and Telugu cinema."

Sara acted in many ad films before venturing into cinema. She debuted at age five in the film Deiva Thirumagal (Tamil), alongside actor Vikram. Ever since, she has starred in several popular films like Dagudumootha Dandakor (Telugu), Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (Hindi), Jai Ho (Hindi), and more. She has worked with noted actors like Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor, among others. After Ponniyin Selvan, Sara became the highest-paid child actress in the country, with earnings amounting to ₹10 crore. 

Fans discontent

According to some reports, Dhurandhar was shot when Sara was 18 years old. However, the news of her being paired with Ranveer, who is 20 years her senior, hasn’t been well-received by many fans.
