Amid T20 World Cup 2022, Sanjana Ganesan Savage Reply To Trollers Wins Hearts

Meanwhile, something else has also been winning the hearts over the internet and that is Sanjana Ganesan's savage reply to a troller on Instagram. 

The cricket presenter Ganesan is currently in Australia, covering the T20 World Cup 2022. She recently posted pictures from the match venue and attracted trollers. Although this time cricket presenter Sanjana Ganesan gave it back right in the language the hater trolled her.

A user tried to take a dig at Ganesan over her marriage to Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The troller commented, “Mam itni khubsurat bhi nahi ho But Bumrah ko kaise pata liya (You aren’t that beautiful, how did you manage to become Bumrah’s wife)." Ganesan in response wrote, “aur khud jo chappal jaisi shakal lekar ghoom rahe ho uska kya? (how do you walk around with a face like that?)"

The response didn't go well with the user, so he reported and deleted the comment as well as turned his profile private. On which Ganesan shared her experience. She said that today, I hit back at a troll, just one, with a comment that matched the energy he was trying to send my way. He was clearly upset by this episode. She pointed out the hypocrisy in trolls. 

Further, she said, Not being able to take a single negative comment “in their stride" while she is expected to keep quiet about the hundreds of negative comments that she gets from such people regularly." 

Celebrities and stars are expected to show dignity and grace towards everyone and anyone be it their fans or haters. They are anticipated to keep quiet or let go of the negativity thrown by people their way. This is just because they are celebrities and they have asked for it- is the narrative. 

She ended her message with an appeal to think before passing comments on social media. She remarked, “Think twice about what you decide to say to someone on social media, please. And if it’s something you’d not like to hear about yourself then chances are you shouldn’t be saying or typing it at all."
