The man named Richard Khadla would weigh his daughter Amira every day and constantly taunt her by calling her a 'failure' and 'stupid.' He now has child cruelty and assault charges levied against him for his harsh behaviour towards Amira and his sons Hicham and Karim.

What Does The 'lifetime contract for not getting fat' contain?

Amira Khadla was made to sign the lifetime contract for not getting fat in 2012. It says:  "I, Amira Khadla, will never let myself get fat. I will do lots of exercise to make sure I will never get fat, even until I die."

Richard would control the very basic aspects of his daughter's life. He would always be the one to decide on what Amira wore, who she could see, talk to, etc.

Besides that, he would thrash Amira with a spoon, and punch her arms and chest too. He had once thrown a chair at her, which had left a lump behind her ear.

His wife has supported the claims and said that Richard would become aggressive for no reason. He was particularly difficult with his son Hicham who was struggling with learning difficulties. The jury was told that he had deliberately tried to strangle his son in October 2019.

Alex Krikler, the prosecutor, said: "He punched Hicham to the chest a number of times and then pushed him onto his sister’s bed.

"He then placed both hands around his neck and strangled him for quite some time, five to 10 seconds, before pulling him up, punching him to the chest and walking away."

Hicham had spoken about the incident with his school friends, who then told the staff about it. They informed the police who then arrested Richard.

The trial is still going on.
