The impromptu concert caught the attention of Aashish and Pranesh Khan, renowned musicians with a penchant for disco music.

Inspired by the disco craze sweeping the globe, the Khan brothers approached Rupa with an innovative idea: to blend disco, jazz, and Indian classical music. Thus, the concept of Disco Jazz was born. Despite initial reservations, Rupa embraced the opportunity, marking the beginning of her musical journey. Following the release of Disco Jazz, Rupa's life took unexpected turns, including relocating to Indonesia with her husband and coping with personal loss.
