New Dates For CA May 2021 Exam Out: Here's How To Check For Schedule

On Wednesday, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI released the examination dates for the CA May exam 2021. CA exams, staring from July 5,  are for the Intermediate, Final, and PQC for old and new courses .

According to a Hindustan Times report, Candidates have been directed to check the official notification on the official ICAI website, icai.org. The detailed schedule for the same will also be released shortly.

The official notification said: “In continuation to the Announcement dated 27th April 2021, it is hereby announced for general information that the Chartered Accountants Intermediate (IPC) {Under Old Scheme}, Intermediate {Under New Scheme}, Final {Under Old and New Scheme} and Post Qualification Course, viz.,: Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and Internal Taxation- Assessment Test (INTT-AT) of May 2021 examinations shall now commence from Monday, 5th July 2021 across the globe."

Earlier, the ICAI had decided on reopening the application process for several exams for the May session, between May 4 to 6. However, students who completed the application process within this time period, had to pay a late application fee of 600 rupees. The institute had promised to announce the revised schedule for the exams, at least 25 days before the new new exam dates.

Besides this, the institute has also said that the deadline for CA students to complete their IT training is 30 June, 2021. Earlier, the deadline for the same was 31 May, 2021.

The institute has said that all the CA students will have to finish the Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) consisting of Information Technology Training (ITT) and Orientation Course (OC), each of 15 days before registering for practical training.

Earlier, the ICAI CA intermediate exam was supposed to begin on May 22, while the final exam was scheduled to be held from May 21. However, the exams had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
