Indian Navy SSC: Candidates can now apply for the Indian Navy Short Service Commission grant in the technical branch. The last date to register has been set for February 18, 2021.

Training courses will start from June 2021 at the Indian Navy Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates can register online. A notification by the Indian Navy stated, "The Short Service Commission is granted initially for 10 years extendable further for 04 years (02+02) subject to vacancy, service requirements, performance, willingness and medical eligibility of the officers."

About 800 candidates who make it to merit list will be shortlisted for interviews which will be held in Bhopal, Vishakhapatnam, Kolkata and Bangalore. The interview process will commence on March 21. According to the Indian Navy notification, shortlisted candidates will be notified about their selection for SSB interview via e-mail or SMS on the contact details provided by candidates in the application form. They have also advised the candidates to not change their e-mail or phone number till the selection process is complete.

SSB interviews are to be held in five days with two stages of exams. The first stage will test the intelligence of candidates with picture perception and group discussion tests. While the second stage will be about psychological assessment where candidates will do a group task in addition to the interview. Only the ones who pass the first stage will be allowed to enter the second stage of assessment, according to the notice. After qualifying both the stages, candidates will under medical examination.
