New Update
European Holiday
It has been two years since my husband and I planned a trip together. Things had been difficult in the past two years. As we fall back into a routine, we are also almost ready for a vacation. The past two years have taught us how taking a break is essential, having time in harmony with family is much needed, and all these things can be done in one shot when you travel.

Checking into our respective calendars, we align our schedules and map out two weeks for a European tour and to add to it, the kid’s school will too remain closed during that time. We, as parents, are trying to put exposure for our children above everything else. So, excited at the prospect of travelling to Europe, falling in love with their beautiful cities, and indulging in delicious local food and wine, there’s absolutely nothing we like better than planning this unforgettable adventure.

Choosing A Budget-Friendly Carrier

Europe, a medley of cultures, is certainly one of the world’s best destinations for picturesque getaways, sightseeing, and beach holidays. There is so much to see that we hope a two-week itinerary can give us a good taste of it. We decide on making a move towards South Europe, covering the cities of Madrid, Paris, Rome, Santorini, and Athens. Cultural buffs that we are, we add three countries and five historical cities within our plan, also ensuring most stuff is covered and in the best possible yet fun way. However, choosing a budget-friendly carrier for our destination remains daunting.

Research and discussion with friends lead us to Lufthansa German Airlines, which promises to go the extra mile to make our holiday special. A friend who studies in Rome once mentioned how Lufthansa German Airlines is the most preferred airline for Europe travel, considering its prompt assistance and connectivity throughout the continent.

User-Friendly Website

We quickly look at their website and examined connecting flights for our chosen destinations across European cities. We decided to book Madrid as our first stop and book tickets from Mumbai. After admiring the art museums in Madrid, the Royal Palace, and visiting the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium for our football fan son, we will fly to Paris with Lufthansa German Airlines. Two days in the most romantic city in the world, we plan on visiting the iconic Eiffel Tower, river cruising on the Seine River and the other tourist favourites, the Louvre Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral. We also consider taking a wine tour or tasting session through a local operator and visiting the Moulin Rouge to experience cabaret and theatre.

A Great Range of Connecting Flights

A connecting Lufthansa German Airlines flight from Munich will take us to Rome. Pre-booking our flight meals saves us from the café-hunting hassle and will add extra sightseeing time after reaching the city. We decided to include three days in our Rome itinerary, hoping it would give us enough time to admire the Roman art and historical attractions.

Ever since I was a child, I always admired the mighty Colosseum. That goes on our ‘places to do in Rome’ list. As per our friend’s suggestion, we include St. Peter's square and the famous Trevi Fountain (often pictured in Hollywood rom-coms), the Vatican museums and the Sistine chapel.

European Holiday: A Memorable Trip

We will fly to Greece, the last destination, on our European holiday. We booked our flight to Santorini and immediately received our booking details in our mail. After a day at Santorini, we will take an overnight ferry to Athens. The Acropolis Museum, Parthenon and Temple of Olympian Zeus are on our list for Athens.

After comparing flight prices on the Lufthansa German Airlines website, we decided to fly to Mumbai from Santorini. This pretty much sums up our European sojourn.
