Breaking Barriers with Determination

Adiba's path to the IAS wasn't smooth. With limited financial means, she managed her education and preparations with determination. Adiba began her academic journey at Zafarnagar Zilla Parishad Urdu Primary School and completed her schooling through local government institutions in Yavatmal. Later, she pursued a BSc in Mathematics from Inamdar Senior College in Pune, where she also began her civil services preparation. She graduated with a degree in Mathematics and took multiple attempts at the Civil Services Exam, finally clearing it in her fourth attempt with an impressive All India Rank of 142.

Her success not only marks a personal achievement but also sets a precedent in Maharashtra's administrative history. Until now, no Muslim woman from the state had made it to the Indian Administrative Service.

A Role Model for Future Generations

In public statements following her result, Adiba has emphasised that her dream was never just about clearing an exam, it was about using her position to create change. She aims to work for the welfare of underprivileged communities and hopes her journey inspires other girls to aim high, regardless of their social or economic backgrounds.

Her story has quickly gained traction, and many across the country are celebrating it as a sign of growing inclusivity and opportunity within India's civil services.
