Excerpts from the interview
What are your roles and responsibilities at Multiplier AI Limited?
I am the Co-Founder & Director of Multiplier AI Limited, where I bring a unique blend of expertise in technology and healthcare. I hold an MBA from SP JAIN and a B.Tech in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, with additional academic pursuits in Bioinformatics from IIIT Hyderabad.
As Director, I oversee key functions within Multiplier, including operations, strategy, and investments. I have led the end-to-end fundraising of the company, taking it from being bootstrapped to a public company awaiting SME IPO approval. I lead the recruitment and product strategy of the company.
How does Multiplier AI Limited use AI to help healthcare companies increase their revenue?
At Multiplier AI Limited, we have developed deep domain expertise and have helped roll out solutions for large healthcare enterprises. We also have a team of approximately seventy people, including data scientists, technology experts, content experts, and account managers, in major metros across India.
Working with clients such as Cipla, Abbott, Galderma, Sunpharma, Medtronic, Smith, and Nephew to drive revenue through marketing solutions, we have developed a comprehensive end-to-end product suite that helps pharmaceutical companies convert non-subscribers to subscribers and accelerate revenue generation.
What does your business model look like?
We operate in the B2B space, serving large enterprises, hospital chains, and individual doctors. Our ticket size ranges from INR 2 lakhs to 2 crores annually, with monetisation varying by program. For the RA1 model, charges are based on increased prescriptions per doctor per campaign, plus platform setup costs. In the RA2 model, fees include doctor profiling for data cleaning, outreach expansion, and per new doctor added, along with platform setup costs. For the RA3 model, costs depend on doctor engagement activities and HCP/KOL campaigns to boost brand visibility, including platform setup fees.
Can you mention the funding you started up with?
We started as a bootstrapped company and now have applied for the SME IPO. Our DRH filing was done on 30th September 2024, and it awaits approval on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
How did you use digital platforms and tools in building your business?
At Multiplier AI, technology drives our growth in healthcare and pharma. Using accurate datasets, we develop AI models for patient risk profiling, physician engagement, and predictive analytics, empowering data-driven decisions for better care. Our AI-powered omnichannel tools enhance communication between providers, patients, and pharma companies, while automated data collection and analysis improve decision speed and accuracy. Through these digital innovations, Multiplier AI delivers scalable, impactful solutions that optimize healthcare outcomes and drive client success.
What are the key challenges you faced in this journey?
Building my business was a journey filled with both personal and professional challenges. At just 20 years old, I lost my father due to medical negligence—a tragedy that deeply influenced my desire to improve healthcare standards. Later, when I started Multiplier AI, my daughter was only 2 years old, and I was simultaneously caring for my mother, who was battling stage 3 cancer.
Moving to Telangana presented another hurdle as I was new to the region, and there wasn’t a well-established support ecosystem for entrepreneurs. Despite these challenges, I remained resilient, driven by my vision to create impactful solutions in healthcare. There were moments of doubt, but I never gave up. Today, I am glad that all the hard work and perseverance paid off, and these challenges became the foundation of my journey, shaping me into a stronger and more determined entrepreneur.
How do you envision the future of Multiplier AI Limited?
We are India's 1st platform for AI-based pharma marketing, working in nine countries globally. Over the next few years, pharma will move from a sales force targeting a limited number of doctors to an AI-driven omnichannel platform that targets the entire doctor and patient universe, generates content using generative AI, and measures marketing effectiveness. Our mission is to be the leaders in this move to Gen AI-driven pharma marketing.
