While receiving the award, a teary-eyed Madhura reflected on her journey, sharing, “For me, it’s a very long journey. About 17 years ago, I took a step to leave my full-time job with the State Bank of India to follow my dream."

She added, "It wasn’t easy for sure because around that time, there wasn’t a creator ecosystem, but I had a dream, and I really wanted to bring Marathi cuisine to the global market.”

Madhura now leads a brand that combines her love for authentic cooking with modern accessibility, boasting 9 million YouTube subscribers and over 1 million Instagram followers.

Madhura Bachal: Digital Women Awards 2025

STP: From the time you first dived into content creation and entrepreneurship, how important has community support and sisterhood been for you?

Madhura: I have felt a lot of impact from powerful women around me. Back in 2018, when I first launched my brand, my first feature as an entrepreneur was in SheThePeople. Such support from women means a lot to me. It inspires me to take the next step.

STP: What have you learnt about yourself since you first started this journey?

Madhura: I have evolved a lot. When you begin from nowhere, you face so much self-doubt, nobody is clapping for you, and nobody believes in you, but when you keep moving and doing what you love doing, it really pays off. It took several years of hard work and dedication to get where I am.

STP: As An Entrepreneur, What's The One Motto You Live By?

Madhura: At Madhura's Recipe, the one motto I live by is “Passion with purpose always creates magic.” Cooking started as my passion, but turning it into something that inspires and empowers others gave it true meaning.

I believe when you pour genuine love, consistency, and honesty into what you do, success naturally follows. Whether it’s creating a new recipe, launching a product, or leading a team, I remind myself to stay authentic, keep learning, and never lose the joy in the process.

For me, entrepreneurship isn’t just about growing a brand; it’s about spreading happiness through food and staying true to your purpose every single day.

STP: What Were Some Key Challenges You Faced While Building Your Business?

Madhura: At Madhura's Recipe, our journey from a small YouTube channel to a trusted food brand came with many challenges. One of the biggest was building trust and consistency with our audience, ensuring every recipe, product, and video reflected authenticity.

Managing content creation, brand growth, and family life together also tested our time and energy. As we expanded into products like Madhura’s Masale, maintaining quality and supply consistency was another hurdle.

Adapting to changing digital trends, logistics, and business responsibilities while staying true to our passion for homemade flavours wasn’t easy, but each challenge helped us learn, grow, and connect more deeply with our community.

STP: Why Is It Important For Entrepreneurs To Prioritise Health And Emotional Well-being?

Madhura: At Madhura's Recipe, we believe that an entrepreneur’s true strength comes from good health and emotional balance. Building and running a business demands focus, creativity, and constant decision-making all of which suffer when well-being is neglected.

Just like every recipe needs the right balance of ingredients, an entrepreneur needs balance in life to stay motivated and inspired.

Prioritising health helps sustain energy and resilience, while emotional well-being nurtures positivity and better relationships with the team. When we take care of ourselves through mindful habits, rest, and family time, we return with clarity, fresh ideas, and the joy needed to keep growing successfully.
