Netizens Raise Questions As Patna Woman Violates Lockdown
Bihar has emerged among the worst-affected states during India's massive second wave of COVID-19. It has recorded upwards of 10,000 daily cases in the past week, with the count on May 6 indicating a rise of 14,836 cases, as per central data.
The lockdown in Bihar, which began Wednesday, extends to May 15 with certain restrictions on movement. While vehicles carrying goods or transporting essential workers such as hospital staff is permitted, other citizens have been directed to carry an e-pass strictly authorised by the administration.
The Patna woman violating lockdown is not the first instance of citizens misbehaving with law and order personnel with regard to COVID-19 rules, as other viral videos in the past have shown. To that end, social media users are raising questions on civic responsibility during this time of national crisis.
Recently, a similar video had done the rounds, where a couple in Delhi's Daryaganj aggressively misbehaved with cops after flouting lockdown norms. Full story here.
