Once again a video of racist abuse in the US went viral on social media. This time a US woman slams her Uber driver with racist remarks. The viral video has left the internet seething.
The video depicts a woman having a loud argument with a Black man, reportedly her Uber driver on a sidewalk in Cathedral Heights in DC before using the racial slur.
US Woman Yelling Racist Slurs
The video was recorded by a woman from the nearby building in the vicinity where the incident took place. The video shows two in an argument with the car parked on the side of the street and with its door open.
In the video, a woman can be heard calling the man a psycho and asking him to take his medication. "I am your boss. I employ you. I am your boss," she can be heard saying loudly. When the man confronts them, the argument goes further till the time she called the driver slave.
Washingtanion Problems tweeted a video with caption, "TRIGGER WARNING: Seen in Cathedral Heights, DC this morning. Apparently this man was her Uber driver and is seen getting verbally and physically assaulted by this woman. She repeatedly hurls racist slurs towards him."
The woman recording the video can be heard panting and questioning the racist rant. The video received over 2.8 million views on Twitter. The viewers demanded police action against the woman, a few also tried to figure out who the lady was.
Uber has responded concerning the video that it is looking for more information on the driver to investigate the incident. Uber tweeted, "Behavior like this is never okay. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination. If you have more information about the Uber rider or driver please DM us so we can investigate this."
