A 48-year-old woman named Lillian went on a one-day trip to Bright, Australia and was passing through a jungle while on her way to Dartmouth Dam. She unknowingly took a wrong turn and ended up at Yankee Point Track's dead end. On realising her mistake, she tried to turn back but the wheels of her car got stuck in the mud.
Trapped in her car in the middle of the wilderness, she tried to call someone for help but there was no network coverage. The news of her missing broke out when her family did not receive her daily call on April 30 and got worried about why she might have missed it. They immediately reported her missing to the authorities and started a search operation to find her.

The Victoria police searched extensively for five days in Albury, Brights, Wodonga and Mitta Mitta but found no trace of her. The Air wing initiated a search operation by helicopter and found her car stuck in the bushland of Mitta Mitta. On spotting the helicopter, Lillian came out of her car and waved towards it as shown in the video released by Victoria police of the rescue operation. The police were directed to the location and they rescued her.
The 48-year-old reportedly described that she had brought only lollipops with her for a seemingly short trip. She was a non-drinker but had wine that was meant for her mother in her car which was the only fluid she had for five days. She survived on lollipops and wines and though her car couldn't move, its heater provided her warmth while she was stuck there.
She didn't get out of the car as she knew she can't walk much due to health issues. This was considered a smart move by the authorities as it helped them to spot her and saved her from any wild dangers. Also, walking would have been unfruitful as she was stuck 60 km away from Bright according to the police.
The police sent her for medical examination to get treated for dehydration. Lillian is grateful to see the rescue team find her and so was the police.
