The footage was captured at an apartment building- Assotech The Nest society in Ghaziabad near Delhi. The video depicts three little girls weeping and desperate after they were trapped in the lift. The police have filed a case against the builder of the apartments.

Ghaziabad Girls Stuck In Elevator, Complaint Filed

The girls' age might be around eight or nine years old. The incident happens to be on November 29, as per the security camera footage. The girls were panicking in the elevator and trying to get help. They were stuck for 20-25 minutes, and their lives were in danger, says a police complaint from a parent.

The video also shows girls frantically pressing buttons, trying to force open the lift's door, calling for help, and consoling each other.

The father of one of the girls, who is an 8-year-old alleged said in the filed complaint that people often got stuck in the building's elevators and their multiple complaints had been ignored. Father added, "It poses serious risks to children and senior citizens, and can cause a serious accident," the complaint said. Children are now scared to use the elevator."

The number of such incidents is increasing and becoming common in the Delhi-NCR region, especially in Noida and Ghaziabad. These cities have hundreds of new building projects boomed in recent years.
